What's in a name?
By dropping "public" from its name, Randall Taylor said, the district might be able to avoid the negative attitude often associated with public schools.
Also, the district last night announced plans to upgrade its parent hotline into a "customer service center," another initiative aimed at boosting the district's image.
The plan includes better training for operators, the ability to send out thousands of phone messages or e-mails at once and a standard turnaround time for responding to parent complaints.
The district also said it was forming a committee to revise its curriculum on human reproduction. Mr. Roosevelt said the group will study the possibility of adding contraception to the curriculum. Currently, that subject is raised only in presentations by outside agencies. Students must have their parents' consent to attend those sessions.
Maybe doing something to improve the education the students are receiving would improve their image more. Because while they can take the "public" out of their name if that is all they are doing they haven't achieved much. Apparently these loonies equate changing somethings name withe real improvement the parent hotline is now the customer service center.
The one change they are considering making that involves more then a name change concerns handing out contraception to students
Since some "so called progressives" disapprove of homeschooling I suppose we could change the name to "schooling" and everything would be hunky dory.

Scylla Sunday
Not being shy I stuck my head right in the box to see what all was in there. Arty drug the blue mouse out first thing. She says it is the purrfect Arty Mouse size. But Socks has claimed it as his favorite toy. That is fine with Arty Mouse as she thinks everything is a toy and we can only play with it when Fenris is outside cause when it squeaks Fenris howls if he is inside.
Arty Mouse was very happy when she saw the treats she LOVES treats.
Oh Mommy has the flashy beast out. She isn't getting any more pictures of me I am out of here.
Well maybe I'll come play with the tissue paper some more. I loves shredding paper.
Thank you bunches to The Sherwood Bunch. Arty Mouse is going to show the rest of our prize soon, she has to help get the garden in order for the Flower Show this week. I hopes you are going to & nbsp; come to it. It is going to be HUGE. & nbsp; I am going to get Mommy to read me The Tell-Tale Purr by Mary Higgins Clark now.

Wildlife Wednesday
We counted four goslings. Mrs Goose & amp; Mr Gander have taken them away to the field next door where the grass is taller so we won't have the chance to watch them grow up.
Sorry we are late posting. Mommy had to take eldest boy bean back to college, then bring him back home for his eye appointment so she was gone all day. We will try to do better tomorrow. ~AFSS
